*This review is not a reflection of Dr. Boin's professionalism, but of his rogue staff member that goes by the name of Justin Sharp (Veterinary Technician).* We've taken our dog to Near North in the past, but had been living out of town for the last two years. We recently moved back and our dog was due for his yearly checkup and vaccinations. Though it is out of the way from where we are living now, we decided that we still wanted to reach out to Dr. Boin because of our previous interaction and the comfort our dog felt with him. Naturally, rapport and trust is important when it comes to the health of your animal. So, I call in and made an appointment on 2/25. to bring our dog in on 3/9 @10:30am, nearly two weeks prior. Today(3/8) we received a phone call from Justin Sharp at 3:18pm, letting us know that our appointment would need to be cancelled. I let him know that it was an inconvenience to find this out well under 24hrs notice, and I simply asked "was there an emergency". By the way, no apology whatsoever. Justin responded, that Dr. Boin simply was never supposed to be on the schedule. That made me a bit confused as to why I was just finding that out now and his response was that he only knew about this an hour ago, which means I found out an hour after he did. I then stated that "someone should have called sooner to alert me if it was just an issue with the Dr. being off schedule and not due to a last minute emergency". Justin then exclaimed "you can go somewhere else! I do not get paid to take abuse over the phone!". After which, he hung up on me. I then called in afterward and got Justin again, simply said "hello" and Justin hung up on me again. I called back again, and Justin hung on me for a third time. I assume Justin thought I was moving on from making an appointment because he is some how in charge of who gets to bring their animals in, but I am not going to be intimidated or made to feel uncomfortable about being in a place I choose to be. So regardless of my interaction with Justin, I decided to call back one more time and I was able to get Trisha on the line. We settled on a new appointment and she never hung on me. Some people are just not cut out for dealing with customers on a considerate level and I think it's important for all businesses to eliminate thin skinned individuals from customer facing interactions.

Dr Henderson has been caring for our animals for 12 years. Just had routine care for 2 of our furry kids today. Excellent service, care, information and advice, as we've come to expect and always receive.

No, they have individual examining rooms. It is more veterinary, don't think they do grooming. Try Jamison loves danger in andersonville. They do grooming and have a great staff.
