Neat park, easily accessible, and I was ecstatic it was in the Tony Knowles Coastal Trail. The park was on my todo list so we killed two birds with one stone! The information boards were in decent condition and gave the information well! Such a unique sight and definitely worth seeing!

This is a MUST visit if in Anchorage. You can ride bikes, or walk or take pictures along the way. It’s VERY common to see a mama moose and a baby moose walking and eating leaves. We love coming here. Almost every time we come, we see moose or a baby moose. You can also sit and watch the airplanes take off and land as Earthquake Park is right by the airport. ✈️ We highly recommend coming here and it’s FREE!

Great park! We went during the winter but the trail was still well managed and easily walkable. Beautiful setting close to nature.

Nice park along the Tony Knowles Coastal Trail. There is interpretive signage throughout the area, including around the monument to the great earthquake and along the Inside the Slide Trail. Moose are present, so be on the lookout. Good sized parking lot, no restrooms.

Questions & Answers

Visiting end of month (Aug 2019), if it's possible to see the lights... Are we able to enter the park to view? Or is there a better location to view them... Course I know it's rare to see them this early.

You won't see lights that early... then again, mother nature ain't her usual self these days. So, u never know.
