Park is in shambles. Another waterfront abandoned by the city of springfield. You will find homeless people sleeping in their cars and tents. Fenced off areas. Stay away.

Shallow shore. Bad place to learn to fish. I feel bad for the teenagers who are eager to catch a fish. Good for those who have a boat/kayak.

I like to go here often for the view. It's relaxing for me. Many people do fishing in this pond and it's great. However, the city could do better in keeping up with it's bumpy road.

It was nice and clean Enough to swim in. Although I just went fishing. I just wish there wasn't so much branch in the way may line kept getting hooked. Aside from that it was free to enter and park it's a nice place to spend time with family friends and loved ones. They even had a porta potty and the police and security took turns protecting five Mile pond park all day.

Yes but it is near a busy road and there are a lot of fishermen and loose fishing line on the ground.
