I have the misfortune of driving by this facility. Thinking a transfer station would be a temporary disposal my material which is transfered to perhaps a recycled materials. Appears to be a dump of construction material piled along a tremendous atreach of property just before a country club property which is well maintained.

Just moved to Salem, NH. There is no trash pick up at my home unless I pay for the service through third-party. However Salem offers I dump site. This was my first time here. Really simple. You have to have a sticker from the town hall first. You drive in, there's usually a line of cars but it's quick, you get up there and you back in and you throw your trash through one of the several large openings. They usually recycle but due to covid other than metal day are not recycling at this time so you throw metal in one pile and everything else goes in one bin. Because it's a garbage site then it's pretty stinky. Nonetheless the workers there are still friendly.

The Staff here are great. Very convenient. You can dump trash and recycling at one building. Brush, trees and leaves in another area. They even have a spot to drop off appliances free of charge!

Derek is the best. Helpful, cheerful and funny. He ’decorates’ according to the season with discarded stuff and actually makes going to ‘the dump’ a pleasant experience! Kudos to him.

You have to empty them out ..you cannot leave them over where you dump leaves...you can drive up to the area where you throw garbage and recyclables..but plastic bags they have you throw in the garbage area not recy...hope this helped you..
Yes, that's the busiest time to go there. Make sure to check the live web Cam to see if the wait is too long first. 7-2:45. Better to go during the week if possible, there is usually no wait than. Wednesdays they are open late until 6:45.
I would imagine so. Derek didn't say closed when I last saw him.
When you renew your dump sticker each year in April they give you 3 special passes...one is for very large items like refrigerator, then other 2 are for items like your couch ect..any wood or materials from a renovation needs to be dumped on rt. 38 at that dump station..you should buy a pass at the town hall , because it is 25 dollors for up to 500 lbs...otherwise i believe they charge you a 90 dollor fee if you go there without the pass...
They only take metal and recyclables, leaves from fall CLEAN up and garbadge..ANY AND ALL WOOD HAS TO GO THE THE PLACE ON RT 38...IT IS EITHER 90 BUCKS PER 100 OR SO LBS THERE OR U CAN BUY 25 DOLLIRS PASSES AT THE TOWN HALL ON GEREMONTY DR..EACH PASS LET'S U DUMP UP TO 500 LBS OF WOOD CEMENT EXCT...SO BASICALLY NO WOOD OR CEMENT AT THE SALEM DUMP
In 2021 the permit Is now $25.00 a year starting in September. If it keeps going up it will be the same as every other week curb side home waste/recycling collection from Casella.
Not sure, call the transfer station.
I would think microwave in the metal scrap piles with the fridges, etc, mattress in the trash
They do not. You can pay to bring it to LL&S on Route 38.
They have a big barrel where the electronic salvage is and you can dump your lights there
I believe so. I think it's open from 7-645
Yes, you might need to give one of your bulky waste tickets.
