The Transfer Station is a great place to get rid of your trash. There are some reasonable fees for some items.

Always a pleasure going there when I've got to dump my trash. You can also pick up dirt from the transfer station. I've done it to get some composted dirt for my garden.

All you need to do is call them. That's what I did. They dropped off new one and picked up the old one. Not sure the cost as mine was destroyed by a drunk driver and i had a police report stating so
