Used them for all needs for almost 30 years. Never let me down, but sometimes requires persistence. Good news: offers every service imaginable, including weekend emergency repair, repair contracts and prepay plans. Overall, very reliable. Honest company, but can make mistakes. Some of the more experienced technicians are world class. Bad news: phone reps are occasionally short with customers, but at least they are not in the Far East. Some technicians are new and can be. inexperienced. 'Call back' feature when busy would be useful. Can be hard to get to speak to higher ups. Conclusion: still the best around.

I have been a MAIN-Care client since we bought our first home in 1989. We have received great service, even in the winter, even when there's a storm. That's important since we now live away from "civilization" in the hilltowns. My GOLD CARD plans have served me well, MANY times. MAIN-Care has installed two furnaces for my family, in addition to water heaters, ductwork, and even fuel lines and tanks. Very happy with the techs, the equipment & the follow-up. We have had the consistent warmth and confidence of a service contract with Main Care for over 25 years, ever since we bought our 1885 house. Most recently, we called them when we found warm water dripping from an overpressure pipe onto the concrete floor of our furnace room, as it was designed to do in this situation. Since we still had heat and other customers did not, it took a couple of hours for Will C. to get to us. He tapped on the expansion tank and found that it was fine (unlike the YouTube pro who would have had us replace it). He replaced the pressure relief valve in half an hour and all has been well since. The best parts were that he had the part and tools on his truck and we just received the invoice which was nothing but zeros in the cost column.

That is a great question. Many (not all) of our negative Yelp reviews are confirmed as coming from either competitors or disgruntled former employees. We have been in contact with Yelp and they agree that many of the negative posts are not legitimate but were unable or unwilling to remove those reviews. Yelp did however offer to get us many more positive reviews to "drown out the negative ones" if we were to subscribe to one of Yelp's pay services. We decided to decline Yelp's offer to help.
