Brad and his crew are great. While designing our new website both Brad and Claire were very communicative and worked with us to really incorporate everything as it pertains to our industry. We are in a very competitive market for tick and mosquito. So far everything has been great having SC Digital in charge of seo marketing. Cant wait to see where this goes from here.

My experience working at SC Digital was an incredible, insightful, and rewarding one. This was my first job out of college, in the field I had studied, and they took a chance on me while at the same time building the teams, policies, goals and clientele that would soon make SC Digital what it is today. They taught me everything I know, with patience and respect, letting me learn and grow individually, while also helping the team and company grow as well. After 6 months, and finally feeling comfortable and capable in my position, the pandemic started, and us, along with the rest of the world, was forced to adapt to a new and remote working situation. Brad and Matt, the incredible co-owners who gave my this position, helped the whole team transition to a life working at home, while still feeling connected to our team and clients, efficient in our work and growing in our skills, goals, and clientele. During this time, we were able to help so many small businesses stay safe and successful during a very tumultuous time, and for that I am very proud to have been a part of this team, and company. I want to also thank Caitlin and Angela who helped me everyday from my first day to my last. SC Digital is an amazing company to work for, with amazing clients and an even more amazing team. I recommend working with them in any capacity; as a client, or as a team member, your experience with them, like mine, will be a respectful, successful, and incredible one. Thank you to everyone who makes SC Digital what it is, I’ll never forget my experience here.

Questions & Answers

I am considering doing some digital marketing for a roofing company I own. Have mostly been doing Home Advisor and Angies List forever, and that keeps me busy. Should I continue buying these leads? What do you recommend?

This is an awesome question and one that we often get. The short answers is that we often encourage our clients to purchase leads through Home Advisor, Angie's List and others if those sources are producing business, while also doing digital marketing to brand your own company. That way, you have your cake and eat it too. No matter how much marketing you do, Home Advisor and Angie's List will still get a lot of traffic, and it might be a prudent decision for you to take advantage of that and ride their coattails as long as it's not cost prohibitive. That said, it's extremely important to have your own company digital marketing strategy to establish your own brand and process for creating business. The reasons for this are many: Doing your own digital marketing 1) Means you won't always be reliant on 3rd party sources for your business 2) Makes your company more attractive to potential buyers 3) Helps reduce your cost per newly acquired customer Read more at SCDigital.com

I'm currently doing mostly Facebook and Instagram Posting. I've heard Facebook and social media ads are good but I've tried them before and couldn't figure out how to do it. Do you offer any type of free consultation to just see if you can help?

We absolutely offer free digital marketing consultations and audits, as well as strategy sessions for anything having to do with social media marketing and management, Facebook Ads, Instagram Ads, Spotify and a lot more! And you're right..... Facebook and Instagram ads should be handled with extreme care! :) There are so many different things that make one ad more effective than another, that most people find it's easier to hire a digital marketing agency like SC Digital because your investment will be lower and your returns will be higher. Since we know the "ins and outs" of all the Facebook and Instagram advertising platforms and are constantly staying updated as they change (which happens often), we'd love to help you identify what's working for you, and what you could improve on. Please feel free to grab a time on our calendar, at bradscal.com or you can also check out our website at scdigital.com for more resources. Take care, looking forward to hearing from you!

How does Google PPC work? Should I be doing Google Ads if I own just a small business?

Harper Smith | Aug 23, 2021

Awesome question! Google PPC (or Google Ads as it is often called, or Google Adwords as it used to be called) essentially gives advertisers the ability to "buy" their way into a potential customer's search for a specified amount of money (typically on a per click basis). The cost to varies depending on a number of factors including 1) The amount of competition for the words you're interested in "showing up for" (the more competition, the more it's going to cost you) 2) How relevant your website is for the words being searched (websites that are more relevant or higher quality tend to result in a lower cost per click) 3) How appealing your ad is Google PPC functions exactly like an auction which takes place in real time. You can "tell" Google how much you're willing to pay per click, and how much you're willing to spend on a daily basis or monthly basis. For this reason, it can be ideal for small businesses because you have complete control over your budget and traffic level.
