Decent dude ranch, room fairly small some issue getting hot water in shower. no water fountain for guests have to buy from vending machine. Horse ride were fine with nice mountains view. disappointed that the ice skating wasn't available, staff was nice and food was decent. Roasting Marshmallows every night is a nice touch so is the photographer for the horse activities

We stayed for President’s Day weekend and honestly it was one of our favorite trips to date! You’re presented with a daily itinerary at check in so you can plan your day. Check out is at 11am but they allow you to enjoy lunch at 12:30pm and have access to the ranch until 3pm. There is honestly so many activities to choose from that we really wished we spent a week instead of a long weekend. The food was outstanding and we appreciated having the same table and server for every meal. The hotel was very clean, beds and pillows were comfortable and water pressure was great. The nightly live entertainment was fantastic! We loved being able to enjoy it by the fire in the lobby or on the most comfortable couches ever. The staff treated us all like family and it was so hard to say goodbye. We can’t wait to plan out next trip back!

Where do I start with this place? I guess let's start with expectations vs the amount of money you pay to stay here. You would think they would redirect some of the funds to maintain the activities they advertise that you get to enjoy with your stay, not to mention the rooms. Let's start with archery. I know this is an activity for the kids, however the majority of the arrows were missing the fletching. How expensive is a few new arrows? Let's move on to the snow tubing. Don't expect anything spectacular here, it is literally a small hill behind the archery range. The cornhole bags seem to be what ever they could scrounge up and call a bean bag. There is a pool table in the common area, cost you $2 to play with two warped pool cues and broken tips. You get a breakfast, lunch, and dinner with your stay which is great. Late afternoon they offer a "snack." This consisted of pretzel bites. No drinks were offered with the snack. We are there in the middle of winter. The place is full of families and kids, where is the hot cocoa? I know these sound like minor things, however you are paying quite a bit to come stay here. They could do so much to make the little things more enjoyable. The rooms are a whole other issue. I don't mind so much about the unflattering appearance, at least get some comfortable beds. They were TERRIBLY uncomfortable. Refrigerator in your room? Well, that costs extra. They do try to entertain in some areas. The main common area in the lodge is nice with a lot of seating and a big TV. They hold different games/trivia in the evening for families to play. You can also check out numerous board games to play. The indoor pool is nice with a couple water slides. Clearly the highlight of this place is the horseback riding. Overall, my experience with the Pine Ridge Dude Ranch was not a good one. This place has the potential to be great if they actively tried to fix the little things. They are getting plenty of money, redirect some of it into fixing your activities. Give your guests a reason to come back. Go above and beyond to make yourself standout. You may find my complaints to be minor, it just seemed like every time I turned around another blatant issue stood out.

I write this review with mixed feelings. The place is lovely, cozy for that matter. The staff was very friendly and the food was 'outstanding. Although we went with caution and concern being given the current climate of COVID, we were assured beforehand by the management that they are doing everything possible to keep their guests safe. Those were merely empty words. Many guests wandered about and hung in the lobby without masks and no matter how many times we complained, nothing at all was done by management. A few scant signs hung reminding guests to social distance and wear masks; did they forget.... this was a State mandate, not a casual recommendation!!! Not one employee would enforce the Governor's ruling. It made for a very uncomfortable stay for myself and my family group of 13. I even told management that two of our family members are in their 90's and they again assured us that a safe environment would be enforced. Well, four of us returned from our vacation testing positive with COVID, three of us got very ill from it. Fortunately, my parents were not affected. Granted, we had a wonderful vacation but we're a family who loves being together, anywhere. For those of you, like us who really believed it would feel like a great escape from a scary reality, I would think twice about making this your destination.... is it really worth it??

The snack bar yes you have to pay but they have complimentary snacks as well and another part of the facility
I believe you can pay a fee and request one for your room
Metro north to Poughkeepsie. From there probably a cab. It’s at least 30 miles.
You are allow to smoke in the outside areas.
From their website, it's 275 pounds.
Yup, its so peaceful
If you can somehow get from Poughkeepsie to New Paltz, it's probably easier to go from there.
