I usually love to run into Belk when I'm in the neighborhood and generally enjoy shopping there. However, my 2-star rating is based on today's experience when I shopped. I was enjoying shopping around the store and when approached the shoe department there was music blasting from the cosmetics dept. I tried on clothes and could hear the music over the other music that was playing throughout the store that you would normally hear. I found it to be very annoying and distracting. I ran across a gentleman in the ladies dept. and asked if he is a mgr and he told me he was a supervisor. I told him how annoyed I was by the music blasting from the cosmetics dept. and his response was that they were trying something new to see what kind of feedback they received. I can't even imagine that they received positive feedback -- would someone really seek out a manager to tell them how much they liked the music blasting as they shopped? I hope that this feedback reaches the right person.

Visited the store to find men's shorts and petite clothes. Came away without either. Shorts were too short in the inseam. Workers were restocking in the kitchen products. Great sale in towels. Beach towels 50% off. Always love shopping in this great store!
