The people who work at this poor excuse of a "housing authority" are just as contemptuous of people needing help as the general public. They care nothing about people and have no problem openly criticizing clients. Unethical, unprofessional and really completely unqualified to assist people they would rather judge. Disgusting!

This is by far, the worst non-profit agency in the state of Florida. They are disrespectful, unorganized, and unprofessional, without proper training. No caring or understanding compassion for disabled persons, which, as I see it, is disgusting. Also, the board that governs this agency, is a joke, they also do not have a clue of how this agency is run, and obviously, don't care. Just another line on their resume, stating they are on a "Board", good for their personal ego's.

I’ve been sending emails out to file a grievance on this place. I asked to speak to a manager more then five times and I have requested a manager in person twice and they all have been arrogant and very unprofessional. I asked to change my new case worker. And I was denied the change. There’s been something not right with my rent. It keeps going up and when I ask why??? They don’t give me any accurate answers and continue to raise my rent. When I I had no job in April they still charged me rent. For May and June. Plus, my new case worker is lazy she doesn’t like to see the income that she can access by my social like my former case workers would do. This one will will tell me to come in and continue to report the same thing I already reported and do last minute changes by the end of the month, with just a week before raising my rent again. This staff is unprofessional and petty. Something isn’t right. Plus, I heard when you’re jobless . You’re supposed to receive a utility check. I was jobless in 2004 til 2005 and was jobless in 2009 til 2014. Never seen a utility check. There’s something fishy about this staff and this housing. The receptionist and management there play to many games. And the last time I asked to speak to a manager. I was lied to. They told me my case worker was also a manager more then once. And when I asked to get it in writing. The lady said she couldn’t do that. Then I said, I have every right for a request like that. She then told me that my case worker wasn’t a manager that she doesn’t know why???? She said that

Well, it's certain members of government would stop picking their own raises as well as the school board members. Then there would be extra money to go to those that actually deserve a decent raise. Such as the staff for the housing authority and teachers.

Actually you can look it up Pasco County Housing Authority or Dade City Housing Authority you have to download application when you do or you can go in the office and pick one up and bring it back just to let you know they're not taking any Section 8 applications and you can apply with Hudson Housing Authority also

They take applications for Public Housing not Section 8. Section 8 is offered only by phone and they only take up to 600 callers you will have to call them to see when they will be accepting the 600 callers. Please note that if you are one of the 600 callers there is a 3 year waiting period until your number comes up.

You can call them and ask for the # to check. It will ask for your info and tell you where you stand.
Anyone disabled or low income can apply. Go there and ask for the info and application. It gives you all the guidelines and list of housing. There are wait list, just depends on your needs. Good luck.
