Well, Well, Well....This my very first time dining at El Rey IV, the ambience was welcoming and you walked and was greeted by the hostess. This was a Saturday around 4ish. Not crowded! Seems like some sort of event was going to take place later on...looked like a baby shower! I could be wrong. You would definitely want to arrive early as street parking maybe tough. Looks like on Sunday there is a live band as I saw advertised. There is billiards, arcade machines etc. Food was simply amazing. The portion sizes were alot..like 2 ppl can share. We skipped the appetizers and went straight for the entrées. I have the soup d pollo, cerviche, pork chiccharon and avocado. I was ao satisfied after washing it down with Presidente Light Beers. We skipped dessert mainly because we were so filled. The ONLY reason I did not give the restaurant 5 Stars is because when the bill came they automatically added gratuity AND charged us for using a credit card. We NEVER told them we were using a credit card. So for this I think they will need to revamp their way or doing business.

Horrible experience, ordered food that wasn’t even cooked right and it smelled bad , ordered French fries they tasty like they were reheated a couple of times, steak was burned , chicharron de pollo was raw inside , service was horrible and be careful they do over charge at least 8-10 dollars more on all meals and they charge gratuity and they even try to hit you with the tip. Horrible experience, BE AWARE of the prices and also read the reviews before you wast your time of going to this horrible place. Not worth it They should be reported to the Dept of health.

Don't visit this establishment. They are very shady. The waitresses go around picking up your beers and discarding them, even if you haven't finished them! When caught doing it, I was told "oh you really drink it to the end " by a snarky waitress who allegedly didn't speak English. They also sent a bucket of beers we didn't ask for. All of this was done in an effort to pad an already astounding bill. We were five people and ordered 4 buckets and an appetizer plate, played pool for about 4 hours and the bill came out to $300! Stay away! Stay away! Stay away! I will never go there again!!!!

I would not recommend this place. Very shady and the food and service needs a lot of improvement. They don't give you a recipe showing exactly what they charging you for. I was charged a service fee, gratuity and since the recipe don't show it I also left 25% cash gratuity. If someone is leaving you cash gratuity be honest and let them know the gratuity was already included and if they feel like leaving you more then so be it, but don't be sneaky and take advantage and have the customer pay 3 different gratuities.
