They make the best Rot in Brooklyn and their Doubles is simply the most delicious, you have ever tasted. The service is mainly take out. Usually, there is a iline, but it moves fast. The food is amazing and the prices are reasonable, but this little hole in the wall Restaurant, serves some of the highest quality Caribbean foods in Flatbush. One last thing: make sure and have cash, because they don't accept cards. And just in case, you forgot your cash... there is an ATM machine right in front of the entrance. But, I guarantee, it will be worth every penny.

YUMMY! YUMMY! YUMMY!!! My taste buds were blown away with all the delicious flavors. My friends rave about this place, so we had to try it! It’s a must-try, for sure. I had a boneless chicken double with tamarin sauce. DELICIOUS. Cash only spot, but beyond worth it! Thank you De Hot Pot!

Love their food! Was in there today and had doubles and for the first time tried Sahena (like a spinach fritter) with Chana (chickpeas). Soooo delicious!!! Everything was perfect and you cannot beat the prices for the amount of food.

Cash Only. They are currently allowing only 5 ppl at a time inside but the line moves quickly. Still my go to neighborhood joint. Great value for the money. My go tos are still the doubles ($2 for the plain extra if you want extra-- I go plain all the time) with pepper sauce and tamarind sauce combo. You can't go wrong. Rotis are still massive ($7-9). But I would be remiss if I didn't mention that the flavors are a little different. Not different bad. Just different. But the pepper sauce and tamarind seem not as sweet or spicy as they usually are. I still love this place, I do but I wonder if all the new gentrifiers are forcing the owners to water things down a bit. I'll give it another try in a month or so and will report back. 5 customers allowed in at at time. Mask and social distancing required. Everyone respected this rule. Even in the cold. I appreciated that immensely during this covid times bc the place is quite small.

I'm sorry you went through that. I wish I could say this is a once in a while situation, but it's not. I live in the area and go here often. I can honestly say they are not true to their store hours. A few times I've gone there within their posted store hours and they were completely closed with no signs of life well before their posted closing time. One thing I can say is their food is really good as close to Trini cuisine that I've had around this area. Even though their hours are inconsistent I still highly recommend their food. The owners are real trinis and they produce authentic food. Go sometime in the early afternoon or dirt thing in the morning when the food is close to piping hot. The staff isn't to friendly and can sometimes come off as rude but the couple of minutes you are subjected to their bad attitude is a small price to pay to enjoy this really yummy food.
It looks like as the neighborhood changed and they started getting a newer clientele, service and food quality has shifted. The cash only thing is enervating. It is even more so because they an ATM on site. It is a nice double dip: they save on card processing fees by refusing cards and get a cut of fees when a customer uses the ATM.
Make a down payment? What am I getting a car?
