This is such a cool place to visit. The terrain can be a bit tough for some. There are walking sticks available if you need one. The railings were sold, good signs and a good map. If you can't do the hike, there is still some really geodes to purchase at the very large gift shop. I like doing the geode popper because you never know what you'll get. The employees are so nice. I dropped my lens cap. I left my information with them and when they found it promptly sent it in the mail. Thank you !!!

This was a return visit after maybe thirty years. I'm 76 and I could still manage all the trails and stairs but you do need good legs. I had forgotten how beautiful this place is. I rememberd it was unique but had a different memory of it...what stuck in my mind was the person who swam from one side of the caves to the other. I found out yesterday it was the lady who owned the property. What generosity to share this fabulous place with others. Thank you. I'm coming back several times to do paintings and pastels. The staff was so friendly and helpful. You couldn't sk for a better place to visit.

If you had never been to the Adirondacks before and needed a place to visit to figure out what they were about, this would be the place. It encompasses nearly every bit of the Adirondacks Park into a short hike. The stream running through the area is beautiful. Nice views of surrounding mountains and scenery. The "Natural Bridge and Cave" are special. Made out of marble I believe, and carved by the forces of nature over many years. The most unique cave might be "Noisy Cave" where the water from the stream runs at eye level near you. The tour goes along and shows many other unique rock formations all near the stream. Great views, informational, and fun! Many other hiking trails are available to hike as well. Gift offers many unique geodes, fossils, gems, and minerals. If interested in these, this is the first place to look!

We stopped here on our trip, it is right off of the highway so it's an easy and convenient place to stop. It is such a beautiful place to walk around and see the amazing rock formations and caves. I really enjoyed being able to go into some of the caves and to walk on the boulders and stone bridge. There were a lot of awesome views! We also really enjoyed the gift shop and rock shop! We popped a geode and found quite a few other souvenirs to take with us. This place was a lot of fun and I am so glad we decided to give it a try! I definitely recommend it!

My 7 year olds though it was fun and not at all challenging, but I think a 4 and 5 year old may tire out before making it to the end.
