Visited in late summer 2021. The hike out took 30-40 mins and border patrol was patrolling off in the distance on ATV’s. You can still see what it was to some degree. Pretty interesting however poison sumac has become the main vegetation growing

What a fabulous structure that gets no satisfaction. Took a trail and had the place to ourselves. They don't make structures like this anymore. Glad I went with a historian to give me the history of Fort Blunder.

Never visited but the 5 star rating is sheerly because this was built by the Americans on the New York Québec boarder in case the Canadians invaded to find out they actually built it on the Canadian side so they called it Fort Blunder. Brilliant!!!!

There were none, because due to difficulties in construction and management of the original plan of fortifications, together with escalating costs, construction of the incomplete structure ended.
