Stopped in on a Friday evening with a client. They were busy, but the service was above and beyond. The food was excellent. I can see why they've been able to stay in business since the 70s when so many small town restaurants come and go. There are plenty of good things on the menu that are more affordable than the steak, but my goodness the steak is special there. For me, it's enough to split with another person anyway. Thorntown isn't all that far. I would gladly go back.

Great food, wonderful staff. When you see a line out the door everyday you know they are doing it right over and over again. With that said know this is a busy place. Trust me, it is always the wait. The waitstaff takes such good care of you. The onion rings, catfish, steaks, or just a sandwich and a beer at the bar. Friendly small town people that really want to take care of you

Excellent breaded and grilled tenderloins. Nice thin, light breading. 2 of us thought it could use more seasoning but my mom thought it was perfect 5 out of 5 stars. Service was excellent with everything wrapped in foil by request and the sandwiches cut in half. I like my fries crispier. would definitely eat here again. ****½ tenderloin *** fries ***** service

We stopped here for dinner this evening, and overall were pleased! We ordered the sampler apprtizer; tenderloin and fries; cheeseburger and fries; and a piece of key lime pie. The food was all well prepared and tasty, the portions for the appetizer, sandwiches and fries were large and appropriately priced. Our server, Mikaela (I'm sorry if I spelled it wrong) was friendly, attentive without being overbearing, and added to the experience in a positive manner. The only drawback is that for the price of the key lime pie, it was an extremely small portion.
