I won a $50 e-gift card to my choice off of a list of 140+ stores. I chose Petco. I placed an order for 6 items, 3 I wanted and 3 were add-ons to get the 10% discount if you spent $50. My items were listed as "in stock". I drove the 45+ minutes and wasted gas to find they didn't have my order ready. No problem, but then I'm told that they don't have the 3 items I originally wanted. The 3 items I didn't care about cost me 29.62. So I went thru the store and picked up other items I didn't need to make up for the remaining balance. When I presented them to the cashier, she said I had a $0 balance on my card. They took the entire $50 for the 3 unwanted items. BTW, the cashier never checked my ID to make sure I was the person who paid for the order. When I got home I called the Gift Card problem fixer. After 20+ minutes, I was told I would have to talk to a supervisor to approve the refund of the money that they took from me. I said don't bother as I no longer want to do business with a company who is more profit minded than the satisfaction of their customers. Later I found that they had issued me a new e-gift card for the sum of $21.00 (they gave me an extra 72 cents for my inconvenience). "My" inconvenience cost me more than 72 cents, never mind that I never did get the 3 products I wanted. I will now go buy them somewhere else. From now on, it will be Benson's Pet Center or Chewy. Because they actually care about the customer.

Omg! Do NOT let ur poor dog go to Petco to get groomed!! I've heard horror stories of this place but omg I legit almost went back to save a dog! This poor dog was obviously scared of getting his nails trimmed and the lady that came back to "help" was god awful! Yanking the poor things legs n I think she hurt it cuz it suddenly stopped trying to get away. (And when I say yanked I mean legit yanked his legs so hard I've never seen something so bad) I hope the lady pulls in b4 I leave this parking lot cuz I will let her know!! 🤬🤬🤬 #animalabuseawareness

Your staff greeted me as soon as I walked in the door and asked me if she could assist me with anything. She walked me right to the product I was looking for, and even was available for checking out. She was very helpful and a pleasant person .
