We had a wonderful Sunday brunch with our kids and grandkids from Missouri. They had gone to the Rustic Rooster on a previous visit and were eager to go back. The menu has changed since last time we were there, and it seems even better. They also have a good number of daily specials. My granddaughter and I shared the stuffed French toast, which was delicious. My entire family loved their breakfast, and we are eager to go again soon.

Nachos were basically chips, chips, and more chips. Arugula and Brussels sprouts salad was the best item I had. Fish tacos didn’t taste fresh, to the point where I threw them out after two bites. My boyfriend gave me a bite of his bean burger, and it tasted fresh and homemade. Poutine wasn’t anything special - just get the regular fries and save the $3 upcharge for a tiny amount of gravy.

Food was hot and delicious. Good food options and the specials were enticing. Staff knew all the locals by name, yet they made us feel just as welcome even though we are not from the area. Will definitely go back next time we are in the area.

Very good food. Nice atmosphere. Their version of poutine isn't authentic, but it's still good. They use a grated smoked cheddar instead of the normal cheese curds. Also had the grilled cheese cheeseburger. Two grilled cheese sandwiches make the "buns" for this burger. It comes with bacon, tomato, and onions. Call it "heart attack from the grill", but it was very good. Service was quick and well executed. Price was high, hence the four instead of five stars. The poutine, burger, one Shock Top beer, and one soda, with tip, cost me $48. I did tip 20%, but still. Many locals were there, so they like it.
