Definitely a highlight of Lake Champlain. I came here for a nice Saturday stroll in March. I will admit the constant breeze on the lake made it cold, but the views definitely made up for the discomfort. I would highly recommend a walk or bike ride down this causeway. It’s a unique experience to be walking along a path in the middle of the lake, while admiring some of the interesting objects that get washed up along the sides. Not to mention, as the sun begins to set and the clouds clear you get an awe inspiring view of Vermont and New York’s mountains overlooking the lake!

Sadly this was the only scenic spot we got to visit while in VT! It was basically sleeting and windspeeds were very high when we went. It was still a very interesting walk! The surrounding area is charming.

One of the best bike rides I've ever done. The trail is beautiful and very well maintained. It was fairly busy when I was there, but the traffic moved quickly and there was plenty of air. The Bike Ferry was a very effective way to get across the gap in the Causeway. It was very easy to find parking along this path, and there were plenty of places to pull off.

Beautiful place for a weekend! We walked through the causeway. It’s around an 8 mile walk! You can also rent bikes and go biking . In the end of the causeway you can also go island hopping by renting boats if you are intrested.
