Those who qualify they're there to assist in service during times of serious housing needs.

First of all I appreciate the housing help. Where at the moment where I live it is quite complicated to live with the majority of Afros, since it is intolerable how they want to treat those who are not Afro; Inside the Ford departments building, as well as the employees who do the cleaning in the building do not respect the disabled people who live here.

They run the apartments like the Carter house. There's no safety for tenants. Managers don't give receipts for rent. This is a billion dollar company that careless about the people who are truly paying rent trying to better ones self in life. An abuse tents rights. This company is why homelessness will never end.
Just Ask
After moving into the Ford Apts. It was heaven on earth. Within a month's time everything changed. I was being harassed by other residents very badly. This harassment continued for months. Other contributing factors were involved, but will save that. I was not comfortable dealing with management because I felt they played a role in the harassment. Two letters were generated discussing my residency and the issues that were occurring. Both letters were hand delivered to SRO. Both letters were stamped delivery acknowledged by SRO with SRO's stamp. After the first letter and a two week wait, the second letter was delivered but I was informed by the building security I was not allowed to go to SRO's office. SRO sent someone down to get the letter. Copied and returned a stamped copy acknowledged receiving the letter. It became very clear that SRO did not care about me. It was obvious SRO did not like what I had to say about the harassment coming from the other SRO residents. After speaking with Mr. Steven Van Zyle (spelling?) a director at SRO his professionalism shined and he basically screamed like a child and hung up on me. After that I was rewarded with an eviction. I had never been evicted from anywhere in my entire life. Let me please add that SRO failed to tell me they had moved me into a building predominantly occupied with residents from California Department Of Mental Health. 2/3rds of 150 units were designated for agencies like CDMH.I have no issues with that. Live and let live. We all need a place to live. CDMH people as well. It only takes a few bad apples to make the whole bunch look bad. SRO housing rules were circumvented daily. These units were meant for single occupancy. NOT families, which SRO turns a blind eye to. In addition, the no pet policy is not observed. To make matters worse residents let there pets wonder un-leashed. Problems waiting to happen. SRO lets the rampant drug dealing and prostitution continue as the normal way of living. SRO's management are people from underprivileged walks of life which is great. They're given an opportunity to succeed. The problem though is they are thrown into a position with absolutely NO training what so ever. This causes numerous problems. Remember CDMH. These folks are not the most patient people. These folks don't necessarily possess the skills to handle issues correctly. Now match with untrained management and you have a volatile relationship. In conclusion I do not recommend any SRO buildings to live in. At last count SRO owned 32 buildings and were growing. They get praise from the "official" community, but are unaware of the goings on at SRO's building. To make matters worse they're deaf to issues because they literally have closed ears. SRO does NOT want to hear about problems, SRO does not want to deal with problems. SRO's vision was unprecedented. What happened? Be very careful dealing with SRO as they also dabble in unfair business practices. Illeagel rental practices. Covenant of harmony and tranquility. This is the unwritten law in a rental agreement. THE LAW. SRO is under the law to provide a peaceful and safe place to live. THE LAW. Thanks for reading and be careful.

This is an update to my complaint about the TV antenna on the roof of the Courtland Hotel over 1 year ago. Sadly my complaint seems to have bounced down the elevator out of the front door into the gutter and made into the street sweeper and into a trash landfill. In other words the antenna is still there with another year gone by and I had to purchase a indoor/outdoor antenna and the reception performance is about the same as the one on the roof ( IT SUCKS !).
Patience, Persistence and a Case Manager! Good Luck!
