The in-home service was totally acceptable although pricey. I was contacted later about an unpaid bill that I thought I had paid. Apparently I was charged a monthly service fee ($105) on top of a treatment for carpenter ants was performed ($850). The bill came after a second monthly service I thought was included. Next came a phone call from Western at which time the caller agreed to call me back the next day. She didn't. I sent an e-mail with some questions about the bill, but that remains unanswered. I am considering other options to this company.

Shelly came to destroy our spiders and take down the webs. She is excellent! So kind professional and the best western has ever come to my house. I want her to come every time. Shelly is great!

Zero stars. They didn’t show up. No call. End of the day asked the operator woman, she said no idea why but next available appointment is in two weeks, want that? Hard pass!

LAZY DO NOTHING. EMPLOYEE WAS ON THR WRONG SIDE OF THE HOUSE! The pest control guy showed up, and sat in his car blocking my driveway for 20 minutes. I spoke to him to confirm he was to spray the hill, and he acknowledged by pointing at the hillside. I got home and checked my security cameras only to find out he sprayed my fake grass and a pile of wood on the OTHER side of my property. He never even did the hillside job. And LEFT a work order claiming he completed it. We’ve left two messages and been promised a call from the General Manager. Crickets.

Questions & Answers

What is fumigation?

Western Exterminator | Aug 23, 2019

The fumigation process from Western Exterminator comes with quite a bit of prep on your part. This includes removing living plants, pets and securing food in sealed containers before the fumigation. Your family will also need to find someplace to stay for a couple of nights, too. Western Exterminator will show up and cover the house in a large tent. The tent ensures the fumigant stays within the house to deeply penetrate the wood to get to termites or other embedded insects. The tent also goes from the roof down to the ground and the ground will usually be moistened a bit to ensure are a more secure seal. Western's termite specialists will add fumigants to the house and then ensure the chemicals get deep in the wood and we then remove the fumigant so there's nothing left behind. Western Exterminator will do follow-up treatments to ensure termites or other insects are gone.

What is bird control?

Western Exterminator | Aug 23, 2019

You may not think about birds as pests, but for businesses, birds can be a real problem. Bird control is using methods to prevent birds from nesting around a business. For example, bird spikes make it difficult for birds to nest on rooftops. There are electrical methods of bird prevention which deter, but do not harm, the birds looking for a place to nest. There are also bird nets which cover areas birds might want to build nests. Businesses can stop inventory loss due to bird activity as well as property damage from nest building and bird droppings.
