I like LA Rod and Gun. From time to time they get some BAD staff like range Safety preson PJ. Very Rude escalating the most minor details with paying Customers. A Gun range is NOT the place to escalate situations. Rather then educating customers on range safety loudly belittling at every turn. I always bring several friends and family members to the tune of $100.00++ per visit 10+ times a year over the last 20 years and to be treated like this from the staff unacceptable. Due to this guys behavior we left as we did not at all feel safe. One day he will be gone and we will return.

The best range in the South Bay area as far as I tried. Both service and infrastructure are great, with great landscape view nearby. Sb said the hill road is hard to drive but I don’t care. Only the most drawback is no mobile signal which matters a lot to me.

One of the best ranges in the Bay Area. The staff are friendly and willing to help. Amazing trap range and a tin can 40 yard range. A wonderful place

I drive 45 minutes to shoot and it is my favorite range by far. I feel comfortable bringing my wife and teenage daughter. They are professional, friendly, and helpful. I had a loose firing pin plate in my 1911 and they diagnosed it so I could get it fixed quickly and safely. I hope they relax the SIP rules, because I think you can operate with safe social distancing with folks using masks and gloves.

Yes they allow rifles. The max range is 100 yards
No they don't rent guns. They are an outdoor gun range. What you are looking for is an indoor range. Or check with the NRA for firearm training info.

Yes
Rapid fire is ok with .22 pistol and rifle guns only.
Not the Bay Area unless it’s a private one. The closest public one I know of that’s 300 yards is in Sacramento. Sacramento Valley Shooting.
100 Yards
Generally you will not need photo ID unless you pay with credit/debit card or appear like you might not meet minimum age requirements (18 or 21 years old). If you bring a gun and are at least 21 years old, you may shoot alone. If you intend to operate the manual trap throwers alone, please ask a range safety officer for additional instruction. (In short, keep your heel on the ground while operating the foot pedal to launch the target, to minimize risk of falling over while holding a loaded shotgun.)
FMJ should be fine as long as they aren't also AP.
When i went in May it cloudy but it wasn't too cold. Be prepared for no cell signal that will cut out driving to there and none when you arrive.
