Great place to let off some rounds at a outdoor facility...It can be a wait at times but for the most part its worth the wait....i come atleast 3 times a month...

I took the Sept. Ladies Shooting Clinic, at the suggestion of my brother & his wife, to familiarize myself with guns. I had always been anti-guns, taking care of gunshot victims in ICU. But, I have to say, I feel a lot more comfortable around guns now, knowing how to handle them. In fact, I’ve just ordered a couple of books on guns & gun safety, to narrow down my choices in buying a gun for myself. I never thought about competition shooting as a hobby, but it is really growing on me! ALL of the volunteers instructors & regular instructors have been nothing but nice, friendly, & very willing to help you in all of your firearms needs. I’m even going to join the Diablo Rod & Gun Club!!!

Diablo Rod & Gun is a great club! LOTS of activities and things to do for my sons. Musketeers and Rimfire events. Club has a huge membership base with many of them often at the public ranges offering all sorts of help and advice. If you are looking for a club to join, Id suggest this one hands down as the best on the property and I think there are 4 to choose from but the are all shotgun clubs.

The Diablo Rod & Gun club is the largest club on the USI property. Serving over 3000 members the club sponsors most of the shooting activities on the range. All club members receive 50% off of the public range fee ($7 vs $14) if you go to the range often, you can make up your yearly membership fee after only 3-4 trips. All of the range staff here are very good at safety and thats job one. If interested in joining see the clubs website.

Currently this club isnt doing a Defensive shotgun clinics. The only area to do that in would be the Action pistol area of the range. Check with Concord Sportsmen as I think they have gatherings sometimes of people just wanting to do defensive shotgun type stuff.
Yes. This isnt an issue.
DRGC does not sell nor rents guns. My suggestion would be to visit City Arms East in Pleasant Hill.
United sportsmen nor any of the clubs there rent firearms.
Right now this is difficult with the xounties order on distancing and whatnot. We cant do classroom training. You can see if there are personal training people that are willing to accompany you to the range. Search for nra basic pistol classes. I think youll find them in the pleasanton area
As many as you’d like. There is a designated range (.22 rifle range) for air rifles. There are many air rifle users, so you’re welcome to join in.
Being rebuilt. We should open back up in the next few weeks. Yes on anything less than 460. Grand opening announcement should be coming soon.
Heh... you've been gone a while. Soooo much has gone on. The public pistol and rifle ranges are bring rebuilt currently. Tentatively, there is a planned reopening on Sept - Oct. All other facilities are in operation. The only thing that has changed is centerfire rifle and pistol activities have been curtailed. Feel free to come to the clubs elections This coming Thursday at the clubhouse at 7:30pm Im sure there will be people you know there still.
Depends on where youd like to shoot. Check out the United Sportsmen web page for further details.
Thanks Chris... More specifically $25 for the initiation and $25 for the 1st year membership so $50. $25 annually after that.
