Fast smog check. Arrived when it opened on Monday morning and was in and out in less than 20 minutes. The attendant Jose was very helpful, courteous and kind. While I waited, I walked down the block to Board House to get a coffee, which was super convenient.

Took 5 minutes for my smog test (great), but the man charged me $70 even though the listed price is $60 (not cool). All-in-all I would give that 2 stars.

I rate this business a big fat ZERO. Very disappointing and frustrating service. I called at 4.15 pm on Saturday to make sure they were still open and not too busy so I could come in for a smog check that day. The owner told me yes, I could come in because he was closing at 5 pm and there were no customers waiting. I told him I was leaving home immediately. When I arrived around 4.30, he was already closing. I protested, saying that we had just spoken and he assured me that I could come in and get my smog check. He replied that he wanted to go home early and didn't care that he inconvenienced me. I told him that he just lost a customer forever. He said he didn't care about that either.

It doesn't get much better than the service at 16 Minute Smog. It was Sunday morning in the City of Angels and I needed a smog check fast. I did a quick Google search for smog check garages open on Sunday, and I got lucky - 16 Minute Smog was a short drive away. I arrived and spoke to Artin, he runs the place. He was polite, efficient and assured my he would take care of my car. All he needed was my name, my car and the DMV paperwork. 15 minutes later my car was done and I was back on the road. It doesn't get much better than this.
