This place is a little hit or miss for me. The location is great for when you want a nice cocktail. But the staff sometimes seems to think they belong in Chestnut Hill or Rittenhouse. Which is of course very not where they are. For some reason they have an entire bar area they don’t use which means 8 seats are basically wasted every night. That said, the cocktails are great. The vibe inside is very nice. And it’s a fun little stop on a Fishtown adventure day.

I ONLY leave reviews if I have a great experience and lemme tell you. The only reason I didn’t keep walking past the bar was because I saw Jessica. Gorgeous trendy woman who made my first experience amazing. And she saved my life. Literally. Anyways. Place is beautifully decorated. Great vibe. Good drinks. Great crew. 6 stars! (And hummus is so good)

At this point in my life, I feel like I'm a bit of a tiki drink aficionado. I've been to many tiki bars in multiple U.S. cities and I'm starting to get picky as there seems to be a ton of new spots that don't know what they're doing or rush their recipes without properly training the staff. With that being said, the tiki drinks are top-notch at R&D! These folks know what they're doing. The presentation and taste of each was perfect and they even have some solid tapas and other drinks like the Espresso Martini, which I also had to try! Overall, highly recommend swinging by this spot if you're in the area. Swing by the bathroom, too. Funky lighting if you're looking for a new bathroom mirror selfie. 😅🤣
