Had a great time on the Wine Trolley. Met many friendly people, enjoyed delicious wines from three different wineries, and learned a bit of Napa history from our driver Richard. I highly recommend spending the afternoon on the Wine Trolley.

This was so nice...the guide was awesome, giving lots of info on history Etc... He was patient. It was freezing when we went July 3rd so dress in layers as it warmed up. We went three places, 2 Wineries and one stop in Yountsville for lunch (not sure I spelled that correctly) ...the lunch was Fabulous and town was pricey but cute. My only complaint was the third stop --far too long and wine not good. Wanted more time in the town with the famous French Laundry:)))Otherwise a great day.

I'm really surprised by so many positive reviews, and am wondering if our driver Richard was just having an off day? He seemed annoyed by our group the entire trip. I have been on many tours in many places, and also been around many drunk people who are getting annoying and being too rambunctious - our group was neither. Richard made several comments to our group on the trolley and at the wineries, shushing a whole group of 13 women, telling people that they weren't taking the tastings seriously enough, repeatedly reminding the same group of "girls" about the schedule at different stops (they were not late to anything, so I don't know why he was focused on them), and generally being weirdly condescending. He also made at least half a dozen inappropriate personal comments during the tour. I learned some Napa facts, and I also learned that Richard is not a fan of Governor Newsom; Nancy Pelosi; SF Mayor London Breed; "artists" who moved to Napa; people who turn their small yards into vineyards; people who drink moscato; and mentioned repeatedly that he never gets a day off so he doesn't get to pursue hobbies he likes. Even if you're into that kind of humor, it didn't come off as intending to be joking. Overall it was an extremely negative attitude and put a damper on the day. The trolley was lovely and agreed with some other reviews, it was nice having the breeze and a different experience than "just a ride." Our fellow tour-goers were from Georgia and Canada, and everyone was super nice. We definitely discussed as a group the many odd comments made by the driver. The tastings were good, and the lunch was much better than I expected (fresh wood-fired pizza in a restaurant, not a box with a sandwich like I assumed lol). Even without the driver, I might suggest it to someone for a special occasion with a small group, but wouldn't go out of my way to do it again.
