I went to Bass Pro Shops in Hanover MD in need of a versatile set of gear for freshwater and saltwater after being away from the water for a very long time. I worked with a team member named Lloyd. He is a true angler and uses his experience on the water to help customers make informed decisions. He gave me honest and transparent advice and recommendations on rods, reels, line, tackle, and apparel. He took the time to walk the whole department with me and help me decide which options were the best fit for my needs. My experience with Lloyd is the reason I continue to make the hour long drive to the Hanover Maryland location rather than ordering online.

A great place to look around for all your outdoor needs. For sports, to camping, to hunting, clothing and everything in between. They run decent sales and have a good variety of outdoor goods. I have always been greeted by a staff member upon entering and leaving as well as though out the store to see if they can assist me in any way. I would recommend visiting this location.

We started coming here a couple years ago for the Santa. They usually have the best one. This year, eh, not so much. He was ok, but the guy they had last year has been the best!! And I didn't like the new positioning where they had it. It was much smaller. The store itself is always great!! And the guys at the fishing checkout were very nice and helpful.

Super cool store. There's lots to see and interact with. If you've never been to one of these, this is the perfect store to visit with the family on the weekend. You can buy anything from boats, atvs, crossbows and pistols to gummy bears and camping gear. Everything you need to optimize any outdoor activity. The kids will love the giant fish tank too!
