We really had no idea what to expect from this place as we decided to do a last minute tasting at a random winery on our way to our AirBnB the first day of our stay. Ended up picking Gundlach Bundschu. On arrival, the hostess was incredibly sweet and convinced us to pay a little extra to do a cave and vineyard tour. We were wanting to do one tour during our stay so we figured why not. The tour at Gundlach was amazing. The caves were super cool and Nora, our tour guide, was incredibly knowledgeable. She answered all of our questions and made the tour highly enjoyable. The wine was really good too. We even went back on our last day to get another bottle of their Gewürtztraminer to take home with us!

We chose this winery because it was pet friendly and has good reviews. It did not disappoint and we had so much fun at this winery. They have a nice outdoor seating area overlooking their vineyard and a small lake and the vibe is very chill and family friendly. All of the staff is really nice and very friendly.

Wonderful experience! This was the second winery we visited this Saturday and we felt so much better cared for than the previous place. We had not made a reservation prior and got a table with a beautiful view right away (arrived 4.40pm). The winery accepts orders until 5pm and closes at 5.30, but we did not feel rushed. We got a bottle of Rosé and the cheese platter and were not disappointed. We will come back :-)

My friend and I did the winter cave tour and I would absolutely recommend it! We got to learn about how the vineyard has worked hard to maintain sustainable farming practices! We were the only ones who booked it (Thursday early afternoon) and our host, Kat was wonderful! She taught us so much about the vineyard/wine. The wine was amazing and Kat made sure we had an unforgettable experience. Definitely will be back!!

Hi Randy! Thank you for your interest in visiting our winery. Yes of course! Your 17 year old granddaughter is free to join your party in our outdoor courtyard or indoor lounge - you do not need to be over 21 to enter. We have non alcoholic beverages and snacks available for her to enjoy if she's interested. Looking forward to hosting you soon!

What is the best way to get transportation to and from? Lyft? We are staying 2 miles from the venue in Sonoma.

Uber or lyft! There are some local transportation companies, which are great but they can me a little pricey if you are only looking to move from Point A to B. West Wine Tours has a super cool concept!

Do you frequently misrepresent yourselves with bogus offers only to change the offer at the time of the transaction?

We will be open Easter Sunday! The main Vista Courtyard (near the pond) is reserve-able for seated tastings, and we have a menu of food for purchase; sandwiches, mezze plates, etc. (we do not allow outside picnics in this area). In addition, we have plenty of other areas to picnic and you are able to purchase wine by the glass or bottle from our outdoor bar. We have a nice selection of picnic items available to purchase here as well, everything from cheese, fresh bread, olives, all the accouterments!

Not so good. Chardonnay was very good and their Reserve Cabernet was excellent.
