Been here a few times and have had great experiences with my partner. He went solo to get a gift, and the female associate with brown hair answered all of his questions with “we have that, here is the cheapest one we have. The others are more expensive, but here is the less expensive one”. This included flowers like lavender, which he went to get a larger one of. He is a POC, and this really shook him. We really liked this shop, but after hearing his experience of going alone, I don’t think we will come back here. I really did appreciate the comment back. Took the time to call and say that, and offer a suggestion to better work with costumers by asking "what's your budget" vs making them feel priced out with "those are more expensive, here is a cheaper option". I was met with the owner defending the associate as being the sweetest person and how we just didn't get what she was trying to say. Needless to say, the inability to listen to a suggestion on how to be more inclusive so customers don't leave feeling like they were marginalized by their skin color was just tone def. As much as we love the plants we got from here, I would advise not shopping at this store.
