DO NOT EAT HERE! JUst ordered take out. Extremely small portion sizes considering how much more expensive this place is compared to other Chinese restaurants. My garlic chicken was all vegetables with like 4 thin slices of chicken. Very dissatisfied.

I went at 8 pm was nothing on buffet got one small plate to see if it came out in small batches sat for 40 min or so no food came out there was old dry burnt food on the bar was 30 bucks and when told about the disappointment the lady asked what was had and smirked I do not recommend

Best American Chinese food. I grew up eating here foand it was always my favorite. I moved away about 10 years ago to my delight every time I come back to visit friends and family its just as good as I remember. I am yet to find an American style Chinese restaurant that even comes close. Me and my best friend have (most likely) gotten food poisoning from here and still go back with joy and excitement. If that's not a 5-star plate of food I don't know what is. My favorites that keep me coming back: Italian chicken mixed with peanut chicken and white rice. Black pepper beef, crab ragoon, egg drop soup, chicken on a stick and also the banana bread pudding

We happened to be in that area and thought we would try China Dragon J. Great tasting food. Fast seating and service. No hovering server. Food was hot with a great selection. It is worth the drive from Independence to Lee’s Summit.
