Joseph is a wonderful leasing agent. However, Jocelyn is the worse leasing agent in customer service history. It's not just that she doesn't do her job but she also doesn't know how to function in a professional environment. In my few interactions with her, she lost her temper several times and said rude things. She have also lost her temper when I informed her that the document she is asking for was sent to her a week ago and when I asked her if she wanted me to reply to the email I sent her, she got visibly upset and repeatedly said that I didn't send it to her even after I showed her that it was sent. We all have our bad days but this should never be reflected on our work and certainly shouldn't be taken out on those who we are supposed to assist.

I have live at Lakewood Manor for about 3 years and half of that time was spent complaining to management that they have a roach/roaches problem. I have gave them enough chances to fix the bug problem which is going on a year now and it’s getting worse. I have been spotting them everywhere in the kitchen, bathroom, bedroom, outside my windows, and on the grounds outside the apartment. I have been going through chemotherapy while dealing with these bugs which I can’t even relax in my own apartment without being repulsed and all they do is spray for the bugs instead of trying to find the source of where they are coming from. I am definitely looking for another place as I am not happy here anymore with these bugs that are a nuisances.

So far after a few months we have a had a great time. there have not been any insect problems. the renovations were great and the staff attentive. Cons: Dishwasher leaked, the contractors who remodeled did a less than $1750 rent per month kind of job, and they do not have a habit of locking the gates that are supposed to be locked.

We decided not to rent with Lakewood Manor, because of what is advertise online is not the same in person. It is a big community, with split locations. They also remodel an old motel to apartments (like 500 sq ft apt) Parking is limited, however they took over the street cleaning with the city of Lakewood, you can see AMC employees going around with broom and dustpan. Extra parking is available for a fee. I did notice many gates stay open during the day. I left my ID to tour the apartment, and when I came back from tour, the agent couldn't find my ID. She had left it on the keyboard of her computer for anyone to grab, and someone put it away, with out a note. The apartments adjacent to the leasing office are the pictures shown online. Across the street is the other half. On the opposite back corner is the 3rd building and are the ones that offer a patio option only. And the 4th building on Olivia Ave is the remodel Motel. I could imagine attending to all tenant needs in a timely manner as an issue. Location: next to a mall, church/school and many restaurants. It was not the right fit for us, so I hope my notes can help narrow your decision.
