I went through their structural D1.1 stick welding program. For someone that have no experience welding or background, I completed ctm's course. I was a stubborn case but I had to buy my own welder and I had to practice at home in addition to the school but that's what it took for me to pass my 3G/4G tests. For some guys it comes natural, for others it may take additional investment. Everyone is definitely different! Since I completed the program I was able to find welding jobs of different types. Getting certified really opens alot of doors. For a diligent person, network with people. Browse through jobs and never accept low pay for any certified welder position. Being certified is definitely a leverage when job hunting. For those who lack background do your research and figure out what you want. Mike here can guide you. The certification you get here works! Also I highly recommend their LA city study course but be warned, if you want to get LA city certified the current lead time to test as of January 2022 is 4 months out, so it'll be wise to enroll ahead of time if you need that cert.

I have been coming here since 2018 for all my certs and updates. Got my AWS and L.A. City D1.1 with them and currently learning Flux Core. Mike, Curt and Wayne have been the most supportive and helpful instructors I could have ever asked for and do not make you feel stupid for asking questions. If you’re a woman (like me) considering welding I HIGHLY suggest coming to CTM, they will welcome you with open arms. After all my certs they helped me get into the Millwright Union and I could not be happier! They helped me pave my career and I am forever grateful.

Took a few months to get my 3g4g stick and wire witch is what you need to work as a welder in the union. I did some looking around and BY FAR they are the most reasonably priced. Same day I passed my last certification I already was in contact with two jobs, and well paid job(union Carpenters) ... best decision of my life . Mike, Curt, Wayne are top notch teachers... by far the beat decision I’ve ever made in my life. Thank you guys! I appreciate it all!

I highly recommend calling Mike if you have any questions about getting your Welding Certs. I cannot speak highly enough of Kurt & Mike. I went from having ZERO knowledge of welding, to LA City Certified for Steel Structural D1.1 All you have to do is listen to their valuable words of wisdom and experience. These guys know their stuff and will get you ready for success. Best part is their program is by the hour, with flexible hours. Which is a awesome alternative to Community College or other “Trade School Programs.” My only regret is not finding them sooner!
