MaidThis Cleaning of Los Angeles

I decided to get a phone quote and the person who answered, Len, seemed nice enough. I was very specific about what I wanted at first (vertical blinds, balcony glass,, top of refrigerator) which all require the person to use a step stool or ladder. Initially that seemed to be no problem, however I called back just to confirm that the person(s) would have to be able to use a step stool or ladder and was very surprised at what I was told: that the cleaning person can decide after they arrive whether or not they feel comfortable using a ladder or step stool. Which means you would not know until they arrive that they wouldn't be able to do what you hired them to do. He said initially that they clean "all surfaces"; however I guess there are surfaces they won't clean, and you don't know until you ask (or until the cleaner tells you at the last minute, NO). I get it, but I consider that the surfaces I requested be cleaned would be routine for any cleaning service. I feel strongly I was manipulated into agreeing to the initial cleaning - $196.00 for 4 hours - more than I make in an hour - and if I hadn't asked very specific questions, certain facts would not have been revealed to. Instead, I might have paid for services that the cleaning person refused to do. Be very specific about what you need before hiring them. One thing I didn't like is that they don't list what services they perform. We finally both agreed that MaidThis was not a good match for me. I decided to write this review to give folks a heads up!

We have enjoyed our MaidThis service. We tried out a few different cleaners, but after a few tries we found a great cleaner Teresa. She works quickly and efficiently and pays attention to the details. If you book recurring their pricing is competitive. The only downside is that they make everyone do a deep clean to start, but I understand the need since not everyone has the same base level of clean.

5 Stars for Jeffrey! He was on time, super thorough and even checked in with us to see if he missed anything or if we wanted any additional cleaning services. He took time for details and was very efficient and pleasant. We will book him again. 4 Stars only for MaidThisCleaning's sometimes inconvenient scheduling process, but in the end it always works out. Ask for Jeffrey!

Cleaning was excellent! Isabel was amazing. I would recommend her 10/10. My apartment was spotless, she was very respectful of my space, and was effective plus efficient in cleaning. Great experience will be calling again for service.
