The place is great and huge. The splash zone for kids is wonderful kids have a lot of fun and there's a lot of trees π³ to sit under. There are a few picnic tables, bathrooms are very close by, great place for the whole family to enjoy.
The only down fall is the entry price is per person not per car.

Many great memories here over the years, fishing, hiking, camping and boating. Check out the boat rentals at the marina or bring your own boat rig. Awesome time always for catch n release bass fishing. An excellent experience with staff at the general store for your camping and fishing needs. Soon my understanding the small restaurant will reopen near the general store.

I gave this only 4 stars because it was raining and our site was flooded because it was not graded to drain. Otherwise this is a very nice campground. We went at Christmas time. Went fishing. Beautiful lake!

Beautiful little camp ground with a camp store and fuel island. Boat launching, great fishing, multiple play grounds, splash pad, good bike trails for the family to enjoy, boat rentals as well. Full RV hook ups, grass lawns on the outskirts of the camp ground, great for day use (keep your tents off). Restroom, showers, laundry facilities also has group camp grounds. Is open all year and no fire bans as of now.
When you go to lake Skinner reservations there will be 3 maps. Campground A mostly tents. Electric and water available. Campground B some with sewer as well. Campground C full hookups. All 3 are differently priced. It will show by color on each site which are available on dates you have chosen. If you click on a site it will show you a picture of it.
It's by person but by your spot ( 2 Vehicles, 2 Tents and 12 people) Full (Electric and Water) 40.00, Partial (Electric and Shared Water) 35.00 and Basic (Shared Water) 30.00 Per Night.
The Splash Pad/Water Park is included when you pay to enter Skinner Lake. I think it's around $6 a car for the entire day & you have access to the entire lake & recreation area including the water park, & other play grounds, & fishing. I'm pretty sure that the little museum by the entrance is also free with the gate entrance fee, but I'm not 100% sure if the museum is free.
Probably to late ! But go online all prices are there. However fishing w boat 2 peeps 30,camping 30-50 w 2 car max dogs xtra day use 6 doll hairs per peep

They have A,B & C camp areas. Just came back on 8-16-19. First look for trees check camp area B site 222, 221 there is a grassy area there also camp area C have some shady large mature trees that's what will help when it's hot. Ate at The Reservoir beer & food place (they also will deliver your order to your campsite) How cool is that. Close to Chapin Winery & Doffo. They have Campground Host's that clean up the campsites & are good to have in your area. Raccoons & Skunks are around mostly at night. Splash Pad was very refreshing. Boat , Kayak , Canoes & Fishing are available. KARAOKE at the Reservoir restaurant check the schedule. I believe the off season may be more comfortable.
Not really. If you call the day before and see that no one is in your spot the night before your check in , then they will let you check in early. They will check the spot in the morning to make sure then let you. But they wont let you check in before 8am so you dont wake up anyone while setting up. At least that's how it's worked for us.
No, they don't allow any bodily contact with the lake. In fact, we were there last week and witnessed a gentleman attempting to get permission for a small canoe and they still said no. If the boating vessel doesn't have enough clearance from the water to the edge of the boat it will not be allowed.
Dogs are allowed on the trails and in the campgrounds, but not in the lake or within 50 feet of the lake. Dogs must be on a 6 foot or less leash and please clean up after them.

I saw the signs for the camp grounds. I'm not sure how close they are to the lake.
They do not allow any type of water sport that would normally result in submersion in the lake. This lake is basically a fishing and party pontoon lake that does not allow alcohol consumption on the boat rentals.
They had public event, so normally on those days its free fishing for the public. Its State park and the event holder is local has permit from the mayors office. Thats why its free fishing on thoses days.
