Nice, comfortable, inexpensive motel on the river, and also set back enough from the road that there isn't a lot of traffic noise. They have both rooms and cabins. I stayed in a room. Clean, comfortable, if a bit rustic. I just needed a place to overnight, and it was fine. Had a nice walk by the river in the morning. It's not modern, the lighting is very low (i.e. the room seems dark unless you open the curtains. The wifi is pretty bad, so don't plan on any Zoom meetings, but I used my phone as a hotspot, and that worked fine for the minimal work I had to do. There is also a library down the road with better wifi. I was very comfortable, although you have to be able to sleep through the AC/can cycling on and off. I heard too much road noise when I opened the patio door. It's a lonely setting, and you can walk to pizza, coffee, a small grocery, or just hang out by the river.

This place is ridiculous. If ALL you want is a room, and you don't want anything to work, by all means, let this place separate you from your money. Shower head is the lowest shower head I've ever seen. If you're over 5'5, you're not fitting. The bathtub is also miniature, so don't expect to relax there, either. The bed killed my back. The internet is trash. I couldn't get any work done here. NOT a strong enough connection for Zoom. The rooms are loud. You're going to hear your neighbors, all night. The soda machine doesn't function, there's no signs saying so. All of these things are just pure laze. If you have a property in Winthrop where you consistently charge folks 100+ a night, you'd think that ANY of these small details would be attended to. It's transparent. Support businesses that deserve to be in business - take your money elsewhere.

I stayed here for a night in Winthrop and appreciate the old west feel of the place. Check-in was dead easy, and the room was pleasant. The beds and pillows are comfy and the AC was doing a great job. There was no in-room coffee but the gas station next door was selling brew that was hot and strong. There were simple toiletries and lots of good towels in the bathroom. The only issue was waking up in the morning and finding small ants on the bed nearest the door - probably a few dozen. I’m hopeful they didn’t get into our luggage but that remains to be seen.

We loved our room. The rooms are rustic which we liked. Ours was on there second floor overlooking the river. We only planned on staying one night but liked it so much we stayed a second night. Folks there were very friendly. The price was very reasonable. We would definitely stay there again.
