So my insurance company paid for my treatment about a couple of weeks later after checking in, but for some reason, Michael Bloom the owner, wanted a 3000 dollar down payment from my father. Obviously desperate to help his son he paid it. Michael dodged all of my fathers attempts to get his “deposit” back and he never got his money back. Highly unethical practice and I’ve noticed the one time I had relapsed 6 months later in an outpatient treatment program, they were suspiciously happy to try to get me back inpatient for another 30 days. So what I’m saying is that there focus seems to be their “revolving door” of making money. Btw, I am clean and sober today thanks to my willingness, support of my father, my counselor there, and some of the patients I met there. So it’s not all bad. Just be wary of “deposits” especially if you know you insurance covers your treatment.

PRC was what I needed at the time. The staff gave me support, respect, professional care and love. Where are all the PRC complainers now? Using, drunk, another rehab...? I'm closing in on a year of being clean, sober and getting my shattered life back. Thank you, the staff at PRC, for helping me to be happy, joyous and finally free. Michael Hill

I had a great experience at PRC. It changed my life. I was at my rock bottom when I got there. The groups were great the counselors were awesome. Of course I have to give a shout out to my wonderful counselor Sheryl, she opened my eyes right away that I was truly an alcoholic and no more excuses of trying to blame others and take responsibility for once in my life. She really really cares so much and wants soberity for anyone she meets. I love her so much! I would recommend PRC to anyone who is in need and wants to change their life. Thanks to all the staff. I came in at 90 pounds and put on 15 thanks to all the good food they served me. They always knew Tina would be back for 2nd.s

This place helped me get my life back together. In 4 weeks, I'll have 2 years in recovery. I was never able to get clean anywhere else. I've been to multiple rehabs and this was the one that stuck. I recommend PRC to anyone who is struggling and wants to get their life back, like I did. Happy new year!

Questions & Answers

If someone checks themselves in are they allowed to use a cell phone or havea cell phone?

It is much better that they do not have access to any outside communication for the first 90 days of treatment. They are there to work on themselves first! Most families members must realize that they could be part of the problem. Clients are more likely to change their mind, call their dealer, or simply arrange a driver to pick them up. After an individual demonstrates the ability to "phase up" in their personal recovery plan, then more privileges can be granted. Often by the 3rd phase, clients are able to use their own personal phone for useful purpose specific to their growth including finding gainful employment.

Is better to go in person or give them a call??

Good question. The only question that should matter to the client is, "Are there any beds available". Otherwise, get down there as fast as you possibly can to save your own life. Often clients will change their minds the closer they get to the front door. Remember, the life you save may just be your own

They got shut down in August 2018 for numerous reasons, but mostly because of another patient dying in their care and their failure to report it to the State. 😢

It depends on whether or not the agency has any contractual obligations to the County or State. Certain number of beds must be set aside for the referring agency in order for the recovery facility to get paid. Most recovery programs that accept these type of individuals are nonprofit agencies. The recovery programs that are for profit are private, usually don't accept these individuals unless the client is willing to pay for out of pocket or has good insurance that is accepted.
