Manny was very cool, have me inside info on when to come and catch fish. He had some awesome history wrapped up in his store and I could tell he cares about his community. Great guy and the right kind of guy to be at the very end of route 66!!

Parking cost $25 but if you drive a few minutes to Broadway and 4th St you can find a public parking where you get the first 90 minutes free then an hour or more for a $1 or so The pier is very famous about fishing, nice restaurant and gift shop I think it's a must to visit after you visit El Matador beach 21 miles away. Also got a very nice beach but is so crowded though

Small place and it's never super busy. Great for getting small souvenirs. Also great view from here

The pier is open 24 hours a day for fishing the phone number to the bait shop 3 1 0 576-2014
Right now we have squid anchovies shrimp mackerel
$4 an hour for the pool and we have anchovies are $5 a 1-pound package or we have squid is $7 one-pound package We charge $4 an hour they come all set up you just buy your own bait we sell bait
You need to check with the Department of fishing game for the rules and regulations I know it lobster fishing you need to have a measuring device they will be able to tell you size limit and numbers
No license is needed for all piers....legal catch and limit you can take home some you gotta throw back
