Well Lifeguarded. Family friendly with plenty of sand real estate for setting up your beach day necessities. Shallow and clear water with small lapping waves. Don't climb the rocks and the day will be perfect. Take the RedLine "L" to Thorndale and leave the car at home.

Beautiful, quiet beach. Good for families with smaller kids, it's more low-key than other beaches. The beautiful rocks, however, are not allowed to be climbed/sat on, which is disappointing.

They don't allow any sort of flotation devices during the day when lifeguards are present
Nope! When I took my kids there, I parked on a street outside of a school a couple blocks away. Zero parking at the beach. That being said, it's well worth the visit. It's a beach with a playground.
Those are facility hours and swimming hours
