My pets (two dogs and a cat) have been signed up for their annual health plans for a few years, so I've been visiting here regularly for a while. Everyone I've spoken with is super nice, and it's great they hire folks who truly love animals. Their services are for regular checkups only, and ever since the pandemic hit it takes at least 3-4 months to even get in for an appointment. I've rarely seen the same vet more than once through the six month checkups, so it seems the Dr turnover is quite high - it would just be nice to get to know someone over a longer period. Considering the cost of an annual plan, and the fact they don't offer emergency services, I'm strongly considering looking for another office that can offer both and perhaps has a more tenured staff, as they now seem to have an excess of clients.

Called to add a new pet to a medical pet plan. I was told Banfield will not add any new pets even though our family has been take our pets there for over 10 years. The reason was for scheduling issues. I acknowledged that it maybe some time to get my pet in and which was fine for normal checkups. I was still denied add this pet.. The receptionist was rude at the end of our call when I told her they will loose our business for good.

Have been to multiple Utah Banfield hospitals and highley recommed them. However the Banfield in Kennewick Washington is unprofessional and lacking service. to schedule an appointment takes about 6 weeks. They closed down the waiting room. Staff can't tell you the correct day to come in when you finally get your appointment scheduled. They don't alow you to talk directly to the vet. I canceled my membership with the Banfield

I'm pretty frustrated with Banfield. My Dog has a wellness plan . Recently it been extremely difficult to get him in for extra/non-emergency visits. I was told to go to an emergency hospital because they are closed On Wednesday and they are booked all week. Just really frustrated

Banfield Pet Hospital | Aug 22, 2020

You can spread the cost of your wellness plan across the 12 months of your annual agreement to make it easier to budget for the essential health care your pet needs. Your monthly payments can be automatically withdrawn from a checking or savings account or charged to a credit card so that you don’t have to worry about them once you enroll. We also offer the option of paying in full if you prefer.

What is an Optimum Wellness Plan?

Banfield Pet Hospital | Aug 22, 2020
Banfield Pet Hospital | Aug 22, 2020

Optimum Wellness Plans are designed to provide annual preventive care. They include head-to-tail exams, vaccines, early screening diagnostics, consultations for proper nutrition, dental care and more! Since wellness plans are not insurance, they do not include treatment for unpredictable or abnormal conditions, however discounts would apply. Because pets need ongoing preventive care, wellness plans automatically renew at the end of each twelve month period (unless paid in full at enrollment).

Do you offer payment plans?

Kathy Lamar | Aug 23, 2019

Hi Kathy - We do not have payment plans and payment is required at the time of service. There are options that make care more affordable such as our Optimum Wellness Plans and Care Credit.
