About a year ago my A/C went out and Carlton repaired it and did a GREAT JOB. Carlton had the foresight to put a dye in the system to diagnose any future issues. Recently my A/C went out again and I took it back to Carlton, I was expecting some hose, clamp or part failed and needed replacement. Turned out my refrigerant leaked out, and Carlton recharged my compressor but could not find the cause of my current leak. Carlton DID NOT CHARGE me for the repair (GOOD LUCK FINDING ANYONE ELSE WHO WOULDN'T CHARGE YOU) and advised me to drive it for a few weeks and come back for an inspection. Is that GREAT SERVICE or what?!!! These are my guys!

Exceptional service, “Cares for the customer “, excellent car knowledge , can’t tell you how many times I value my trust in their diagnosis and effective repair completion. Customer trust in them is why Carlton wins !

A trust-worthy business is a treasure these days, and Carlton Auto is one! I appreciate their honest appraisal of what my car needs, and friendly help in taking care of any issues. I recently took in our 2003 van for an oil change (after about 18 months of light use) and suggested that maybe the tires should be rotated. Russ determined that the better tires were on the front, so did not recommend rotating them - saving me that cost! Building trust is a sure way to build business; thanks, Carlton Auto!

Entrusting my "sick" vehicle to a mechanic has always been stressful for me. How long will it take? How much will it cost? I'm so thankful that my friend recommended Carlton Auto Repair to me. In the past year, I've been impressed that Carlton provides quality service in an efficient timeframe, and most importantly, they’re on my side in suggesting the most economical fix to get me back on the road without milking my bank account with unnecessary services. I love that I can trust my mechanic! Their policy of "never putting profit before people" is not just a clever slogan, I have really felt it in every transaction!

We do perform all brake work on most vehicles, and do a ton of Honda work. We do not give any prices over the phone, internet, etc. What is more important to ask, is "what kind of friction material do you use", "do you have a brake lathe" (all including new brake rotors need to be cut on a lathe), and "do you have a sandblast cabinet" (the only way to make brakes last like they should is to remove all rust from the caliper brackets so the pads will not stick in the future causing premature wear). I can answer all of these questions. We use only Akebono pads (we believe the best quality friction material available anywhere), we do have a lathe and use it every time, and we do have/use a sandblast cabinet, very important, we know of only one other shop in the county that does brake work the same way we do. If you would like us to look at it and give you an accurate estimate, please call Russ or Renee @ 630-668-4141 and make an appointment.
