Chartered a boat for 3 families for a day out on the water. I hadn't heard of OnBoat, so I was a bit skeptical about using the service for the first time. It is a bit intimidating to read through all of the paperwork for a Bareboat charter, but everything worked out great. I got a different captain than the one I selected, and I am not sure why. No matter though, the captain and 1st mate we got were friendly, flexible, and let us chase dolphins around because the kids were having such a good time. We got a slightly late departure because there were 4 boats boarding for 3 spots on the pier. That might be on the City of LA who manages the pier though. Most of the other groups we saw were all adults ready to party, and I am sure it is great for that as well. We brought our own kids' life jackets because they tend to fit better, so I recommend that if you have them or if you have a large group of kids. There were 6 with us. All kids under 12 must wear life jackets at all times. We were sad when the time ended and would have gladly paid to extend the day had the boat not already been booked right behind us. I will def use this service again and book it for longer next time!

Always use Onboat for the summer fun on the sea. This is by far the most reliable platform online and you won’t have issues of boat charter decide to cancel right before the trip. However this review is specifically for this wonderful service for the founder Marc. 2 weeks ago, I wanted to book a boat trip in LA for the same weekend. Everything on their website was already reserved so I called Marc just to see if he can help me find anything. I didn’t have high hopes but surely after 30 mins, he called back and found me a wonderful 55 ft catamaran for the weekend. The trip was a blast all thanks for the wonderful service provided by Marc and his team from onboat. Most definitely recommend onboat for all your boat trip!
