I have had a great experience in my time at the Retreat on 6th. The staff are friendly, helpful, and always make sure to communicate. They made the application and move in process very comfortable back when I moved in.

The only good things that I can say is that the management staff is nice, and helpful within whatever constraints they have with corporate. The apartment that we rented also seems to be decent as far as being clean and newer. So that's good. No complaints there. However, if you care about the actual living conditions of the apartments, at least as far as the 3 bedroom units, which we rent, then I would highly consider somewhere else to live. 1. The water heater is shared between all the units in the building, so good luck getting any hot water or decent pressure. The best you can probably hope for is lukewarm water, which takes at least a good 5 minutes of running to even get that! What a waste of water! 2. The walls are super thin, so you can hear banging around and talking/yelling from the neighbors. 3. Trash piles up super high in the dumpsters as it isn't removed often enough. In the summer if you live close enough to one, then you will be constantly greeted a swarm of flies from all the garbage. Best to keep fly paper in the apartment to catch all the ones that will inevitably get in. 4. They used to have more onsite laundry rooms, but have recently closed all but 2 of the main ones near the office and "pool" area as of March 2022. You would be lucky to find a washer and dryer that works, or unlucky if you pick one that doesn't and it steals your money. The washers and dryers are on the small side, and cost more money than they are worth. It's best to do your laundry at another location. So, if onsite laundry is what you want, then this isn't the place. 5. As for the 3 bedroom units, they used to have a privacy fence. Recently they started removing them starting with the gate doors. This leaves the patios open to anyone to just walk right in. If a private patio is what you want, again this is not the place to rent. All in all I would have rented elsewhere if I had known about all this stuff. If you have the opportunity to look for better options, then do yourself a favor and do that.

I first want to just say I am so grateful for the opportunity they have given me and my fiance. The staff was very quick to respond, and professional while filling out the application. The process was pretty simple and quick. The whole place is very well kept up. Our apartment is gorgeous and I love the little touches they left for us starting out fresh these definitely help.

My roommate and I were in need of a reliable place after dealing with a poorly managed apartment complex for months. The Retreat had all information available for us on the first day of speaking with them; they had us moved in within a week! The unit was in good shape during the visit and any repairs were done in a very quick manner! The overwhelming kindness of the management and maintenance has been much appreciated and we will continue to enjoy our stay! :)
