Bandar was a great experience. I ordered lamb chops and they were probably the best I have ever eaten. The portions they give you are quite impressive and you truly get alot of food for the price you pay. We celebrated a friend's birthday there and the service was good. Thumbs up!

On a business trip to San Diego, I decided to revisit this restaurant after about 4 years. I must say that fortunately nothing has changed! Same delicious authentic food with great service. I took a colleague with me and she also thoroughly enjoyed the food and the service.

We chose their restaurant week 3-course menu, and WOW were the portions HUGE! I got the Alaskan King Salmon and my partner got the lamb. We both felt our meat was a little dry. It was still good, but not great due to the dryness, especially of the salmon. The lamb was ordered Medium but it came out more med-well. Another friend went with us and ordered the filet and she loved hers and said it was seasoned really well and delicious. She too ordered medium, but it was also more like medium-well. My recommendation is if you want medium, order medium-rare. All 3 of us got desserts, which were beautiful and tasty. The cake pieces are very big and can definitely be shared. We dined inside and the decor is very pleasing, neat, and clean. We’ll definitely return again to sample more of their menu choices.

We went for my friend birthday to Bandar Restaurant. The food was delicious. Our waiter Edwardo was courteous and attentive. He made sure we were served hot tea constantly(Persians drink a lot of tea). Even the owners took time to welcome us and to sit with us.

I believe Bandar restaurant is a bit overpriced as well. However, it is pretty good quality and tasty food. I also think there are more Persians in Los Angeles than San Diego, and the supply and demand plays a factor as well Just a thought!!!
Bandar resturant secializes in persian food , and only few employees work there. I imagine since it is a small privately owned business , it would pay the same as any small middle class business, not to mention, all the perks and bonuses you will get in bigger companys or hotels .
