I would not recommend at all. Firstly, there is so many homeless and junkies walking around the complex. They come right up to your front gate and all personal belongings aren’t safe. I’ve found substance containers and razor blades left inside my patio area. I’ve even seen a car with its tires stolen and left on blocks here. Not to mention the residents themselves. I walked into the laundry area with a resident smoking marijuana and drinking a 12 pack of beer in the early morning. Second, the management is always changing and they never resolve anything. They totally discriminate and have different rules for different people. Not to mention, if you work with Essex or the property and live there, you get special treatment too. You are allowed to do stuff the other residents are forbidden to do. They say if you don’t follow the rules, you will be “asked to leave when the rental agreement is up” yet those residents still live there long after you moved out. Third, you may get a parking spot but that doesn’t mean anything. Some spots are clearly marked and others aren’t. So everyone will park in your spot and if you get home late, plan on parking 2 blocks away and walking home. Even the street along the complex is always completely packed of cars all day and night long. I totally forgot to mention the bugs and animals. If you live here, you will be sharing your apartment with MICE. The cheap installation of the kitchen cabinets make for a great entry for these critters. Make sure you tape all the openings so you don’t have mice running all over your living room. I had not 1 but 3 of them while I resided here. These were some of the main issues I faced while living in the Essex “Bonita Cedars” complex not to mention there was a ton of little ones also. I only lived here for 1 year and couldn’t wait to get out of my lease. Do yourself a favor and find somewhere else to live.

I'm only in this area when I'm picking up my son from his father. From the few times I been up there cleaning spaces with just a little patio balcony on the second floor. There is no parking zip zero NADA not even guest visitor parking the area is like that with multiple condos and not enough parking to support that makes it hard for your company., people don't want to leave at night cuz I don't want to lose their spot. No washer and dryer in unit and a very unfriendly system for their washer and dryers you have to walk all the way to the front to get a card or wait for someone to be in the office you can't spend only what you use you have to prepay chunks ahead of time when you might not be able to.

Select Essex communities offer homes that may be considered rent controlled. Availability and leasing terms are subject to change at any time. Essex also offers below-market rent (“BMR”) programs at select communities. While this is not a rental assistance program, BMR units may be available to residents who qualify based on their annual household income and the number of individuals living in their household. To determine if the community you are interested in offers BMR options, please contact the leasing office for more information.
