We pay for the monthly insurance for our dog. Normally we have no issues, but we got him neutered recently. We received exactly ZERO communication throughout his entire procedure. We were supposed to be notified after blood tests, before surgery and after surgery. We were told the procedure only takes about 20 minutes but the dog will need to be monitored after waking up from anesthesia for about 2 hours. We dropped him off at 7:45am and heard nothing from anyone on his status. We called several times and never got through to someone. We finally just went back to the store to find that he barely got out of surgery at 3pm. Unacceptable lack of communication from a company that we pay monthly to care for our pet. We expressed our frustrations and were just told "sorry, we'll do better next time"

What a surprisingly amazing experience we had considering we had to put out beloved pom down but they were caring and shared a truthful prognosis instead of trying to upsell fruitless procedures that were unessicary(typical animal hospitals) their staff really put the animal and her well being above all and at a affordable price. thank you so much for helping us through this difficult time with grace and ease. we appreciate your candor and consideration great job caring and professional!!

They were pleasant and took the time to explain everything to me. They were gentle to my new pup. Helpful. I like that they are located in pet smart, so I can do my shopping at same time. Convenient

untrustworthy service. Staff has lied to me on two occasions. They will sell you on their wellness plan as if it is insurance but is no where near. They will tell you the spay is covered and charge you additional expenses that should be part of the spay/ neuter process. I feel completely taken advantage of. after todays experience I will NEVER do business with these people again and I highly recommend you save yourself the headache.

How do I pay for an Optimum Wellness Plan?

Banfield Pet Hospital | Aug 22, 2020
Banfield Pet Hospital | Aug 22, 2020

You can spread the cost of your wellness plan across the 12 months of your annual agreement to make it easier to budget for the essential health care your pet needs. Your monthly payments can be automatically withdrawn from a checking or savings account or charged to a credit card so that you don’t have to worry about them once you enroll. We also offer the option of paying in full if you prefer.

What is an Optimum Wellness Plan?

Banfield Pet Hospital | Aug 22, 2020
Banfield Pet Hospital | Aug 22, 2020

Optimum Wellness Plans are designed to provide annual preventive care. They include head-to-tail exams, vaccines, early screening diagnostics, consultations for proper nutrition, dental care and more! Since wellness plans are not insurance, they do not include treatment for unpredictable or abnormal conditions, however discounts would apply. Because pets need ongoing preventive care, wellness plans automatically renew at the end of each twelve month period (unless paid in full at enrollment).
