Life after death? Why am I here? Where will I go after? The answers to these questions are free and will be validated by the author of it all. If you ask with a sincere heart with real intent. You're looking at one of His houses where we work together to bless our families. What's inside? Pure joy, peace and reverence. If you're curious, talk to some missionaries to get started.

It is a gorgeous and peaceful place! The garden is beautiful and the lights and music during Christmas time really brought the Christmas spirit to this place. There was big parking lot and many branches around, it is a great place to read, to ponder, to walk around and to appreciate. It is not a church building so it is actually closed on Sunday but the temple ground is still open, you can take a nice Sunday walk here. Besides the open house time, this temple is only open to members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints which is the place they make sacred promises with God, and marriage is one of them! If you ever have any questions while you are there, there are always missionaries and church representatives who are happy to help!

Spectacular church to visit. Just magnificent. The towers literally towered over anything around it. Just spectacular view from any corner of the property. Since I’m not a church member, I wasn’t allowed to go inside the church during the wedding ceremony. But then also due to COVID, only a limited number of people even among the church members were allowed I was told. When I got there, I saw not only newlyweds that just came out, but also people who were waiting for their bride to come out, as well as tourists visiting and busy taking pictures of the church. The folks at the front desk were quite cordial and give directions as to where to go and wait for the newlyweds to come out and also let visitors use the restroom which was was extremely clean. Well, every corner of the church, inside (only the front desk area though) or out, was super clean and the gardening was simply immaculate and impressive.

Beautiful, and a great place to take photos, but they won’t let you in unless you are a member of their religion with approval from their clergy.

No- no housing available at temple
The Church originally built this and hundreds of other temples around the world - was to offer the blessings and ordinances for exaltation for ourselves and for those who died and didn't have the chance to be baptized with the correct authority from Christs' Priesthood.
You need to be a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of the latter-day Saints and have a recomendation. You can go outside and look, taking pictures, and feel its peace. There are missionaries there and they can show you inside pictures of the temple and they can answer any question. This temple is my favorite.
I know that we can feel heaven from this place and we can see this Temple from heaven
You shouldn't have a problem taking photos outside the temple. The inside of the temple is closed to the public, the grounds outside of the Temple are open to the public during the day.
The Temple tour consists of the grounds and a front lobby area. They have missionaries there at all times to show you around and answer all your questions!
Yes you can visit the grounds, but the temple itself will be closed
There is a parking lot and overflow parking on the premises. The closest parking spots are 50ft to the front entrance and as far away as 200-300ft.
No, this is only for adults that are members and in good standing with The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. Please see churchofjesuschrist.org for more information.
Was possible a week or so ago, so should still be good to go. Call and ask.
If you are a member of the Church you can talk to the Bispo of the wing you frequent and he can direct you, but if you are not you can go to the temple and ask for the missionaries and they can help you.

Yes. To enter the building where religious ordinances are performed it is necessary to be a member of the congregation, but even if you are not yet a member of the Church, you can visit the gardens outside and enjoy the peace of those fields. And if you have questions, you can ask the people who manage the area for explanations of your questions. I think the important thing is to visit the area and feel the peace of that beautiful place.
Services are offered at regular chapels around San Diego County. They are on Sundays only at varying times listed at www.churchofjesuschrist.org
Yes, and a temple recommend is required. On the entry level near back.
The temple is not open on Christmas, but the grounds might be.
Free if you are a member of the church of Jesus Christ of latter day saints.
This is such a sweet idea! I would recommend calling the temple directly to arrange this. If a courier just showed up with a bouquet with your daughters name they'd be confused, but I imagine they'd be willing to work something out with you (have someone available to accept the delivery and give it to your daughter on her way out) if you call ahead and let them know what is going on.
The San Diego Temple doesn't have a Visitors Center on site, we use the Mormon Battalion Historic Site (9am-9pm) 2510 Juan St, San Diego. Christmas lights are normally displayed from December 1st to January 1st.
Only members are allowed in the actual temple, but there are people there during the day that can help guide you to a place where you can worship. They have a visitors center. I agree with Spimothy. Even though you can't go in, it is a beautiful place. The building is amazing and the grounds are beautiful. You should stop by and see for yourself if you have time.
No, only if you are a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter day Saints.
There is no reverend. The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints has a lay clergy. However, there are men assigned to be a temple presidency who watch over and help manage the temple and the work that goes on inside. There are missionaries on the grounds ready to answer questions from any visitors.
Not at all
Yes
It is not a hotel and Jorge Heads does not know what it says.
