Its a great place for peaceful walks up and down. Almost no one else around. But seriously I would not try dragging more than 2 bodies alone. Its a lot of strain on your back all the way down. So if its more than 2 bodies you're dragging, , be sure to take a wheelbarrow. Your feet will thank you!

Good spot for an easy afternoon hike. There are 5 or 6 fire pits that I believe you can reserve, with firewood stacked up at each. I was surprised that the beach appeared to have a permanent "closed - no swimming" sign. Is this a water quality problem? Let's clean up our lakes, Madison!

Great place to go for a short day hike. Beautiful views and more to explore than it seems like. Also free parking on the weekends. How can you go wrong?

Fantastic Area to walk and it offers a truly unique view of the madison capital and surrounding area. It has tons of walking paths all around and never seems to be too busy. It appears really well maintained, which is a huge plus for some of the non paved paths. Not exactly somewhere I would take my dog unless they are really chill with people and other dogs.
