I always enjoy this branch. Super quick in and out. Always enjoy chatting with the workers and they are extremely helpful. They are also really friendly to my kiddos when I bring them in with me. That always makes me smile.

I didn’t know a dvd was on hold and had it longer then they wanted me to , the lady called and was super rude, I’m not sure why she couldn’t of asked me nicely instead of acting like I’m such a bad person for having it, I was very disappointed I Usually get treated so nicely from the public library’s! So rude!

Very nice and wonderful people. If I could go back just to visit, I would be more than happy to. Occasionally, it gets to be loud but that is usually taken care of. A lot of the books they sell are 30 cents and they have an entire computer section dedicated to teens and another to adults.

The staff is always courtious, but half the time, it is too noisy. Especially when kids get off school and come here to use the computers to loudly and gleefully play their shoot em up games...and nothing else. Their games eat up the Wi-Fi band width and slow it down to a crawl. I once mentioned to a staff member that I remember a time when libraries were quite places. They replied, "Now, libraries are fun!". If playing Minecraft while shouting, "Kill, kill!" Is fun, then something is wrong, or I must have a bad case of juvenoia.

Yes; copies are .20 cents, or scan to e-mail for free. Machine takes Visa/Mastercard if you don't have coins.
There is a link to "jobs" at the bottom of the Athens County Public Libraries page where you can see any current job openings, but they're rare. Most branch libraries use volunteers for basic tasks like reshelving books. Volunteers under 18 must have signed permission from a parent or guardian.
