Great place for a hike and to cool off under the falls. Just be careful of the slippery rocks and sometimes, muddy trails after a rain.

The waterfall was beautiful today after a heavy rain. The creek is also impressive. If you can make it down to creek level you can walk to the bottom of the falls. It is muddy and the rocks are slippery.

Tricky getting down the grade but worth it. I totally researched this waterfall prior to heading out because I had a cancer patient with me and didn't want anything too strenuous for her. You park in a gravel lot that says "waterfall" and then walk maybe 2 minutes into the wood, from there you can already hear the falls. The trail runs parallel to the water, it's fairly easy, and after 5esh minutes when you get to the falls there's 3 offshoots you can choose to reach them. One goes to the top of the falls, don't go that way. The next has a fairly decent grade and is really sheer and slick. Don't choose that one either! Keep going straight for a bit and you see the trail has an offshoot that kind of loops away from the falls then back up to the pool at the bottom. This can be slick but it wasn't bad and was by far the easier grade to get up and down. It rained fairly hard this week and has been 2 days of hot, dry weather so the falls were REALLY going and it was beautiful. GET THERE EARLY. I'm an hour away and got there around 9 am and people were already there but leaving, and then we had the place to ourselves till around 11 when about 17 people all showed up (not as a group, they didn't know each other) so we left. it was a lovely way to spend the morning in nature. Also the 3rd offshoot lets out where I'm sitting in the final photo.

Beautiful trails, and an amazing waterfall! It’s a little difficult to get down into the actual falls, you either have to climb down the edge or go downstream and walk back up along the water. It may be difficult with dogs that you can’t pick up or small children. It’s definitely worth the effort to get there, it’s absolutely breathtaking. The trails are kind of muddy right now so make sure you wear appropriate footwear. There are no bathrooms so go before drive over. It’s also an area where hunting occurs so wear something bright and be careful. Have fun!

Yes. I was there yesterday and several people had their dogs with them, on leashes
Park either at entrance, to the right there are a few spaces (a gravel driveway between 2 fields) or down the driveway a bit there are just a few more spaces on the left.
Chris a service dog is allowed anywhere as far as I'm aware
Indian creek has a clay pigeon range and archery range only.no rifles or handguns allowed
Not that I know of, either. However, there are plenty around! If you drive towards the intersection of careytown and new vienna (I think that's the name. Correct me if I'm wrong), and you keep going toward Highland, there are several spotted there every time I drive by. I'll go by there today and take a better look. I saw some on Hixon rd outside of Highland
