Disgusted and disappointed. Harvested a mature Ohio Whitetail in January of 2021. Refrigerated it at 34° for the three days before I could get it to the shop. With online reviews, forum comments, a price tag of $760 falling in line with others and a 8 month return time frame I expected quality work. At the time of pickup I was upset with the quality of the workmanship performed on my mount. There was a visible hole pinched in the ear where they had tagged my mount for processing and did not fix it. Furthermore the form that they had placed the mount on was undersized and did not match that of the measurements taken at time of drop off. The seam up the back of the neck where they had split the hide and sewed it back together was raised and the fur didn't lay down giving my buck somewhat of a razorback look. When these issues were brought to the attention of the owner, Mr. Spencer, he was in agreement that the mount was not done correctly and that the boy that had done it had messed up. After taking my trophy to the back to try and adjust it, it was stated that it was "as good as it was going to get". When asked to make things right otherwise or with the price it was denied and any notion of a discount was dismissed. This shop is not recommended. Since he no longer does his own work and with the new subpar taxidermist he has working for him, think twice and choose somewhere else to spend you hard earned money.
