This place is AMAZING and so far my favorite spring in florida. I live 2.5 hrs away and am perfectly fine with the drive because it's so worth it. You do pay by the person not the car load like at other springs. This year they put in locker type boxes that you can store you food and other items in which is great because as we labeled them the trash birds WILL GET INTO ANY FOOD. If it's not in a cooler they will get it. Even shopping bags will get ripped open so beware. As far as the spring it is beautiful and handicap ♿️ accessible. It is a spring so it's a bit cold right at first. There is lots of shallow area for the little ones to play. Only negative is all the different loud music coming from the boats parked near by.

Fantastic place. great swimming and snorkeling. No place to buy water drinks or food. Don't forget cooolers. No alcohol allowed. All coolers checked.

Stopped by on my vacation—water was clear, sand was soft, and it was home to manatee, crabs, turtles (I didn't see any, but my sister said she spotted one), and some different types of fish. definitely not a hot spring, but it's not freezing either, water felt like it was about 71° on a 84° day. It was beautiful, but you might want to be careful with bringing younger ones as there were a few topless women (but they were the minority of the crowd). I'm not sure if that's common here or not, but I figured it would be worth a mention for those planing to take their kids. Could be a net positive or something to take into consideration.

So why 2 stars? Pros 1st!: - only 7.50 per person on Monday. - in December on a weekday its not busy at all! Only 2 cars in parking lot when we got there- maybe 8 when we left. - deep water with tons of fish at spring - manatees out in the river - nice place to have picknick with aprox 10 tables. Cons: -We had a 12 ft trailer behind the truck and needed 2 parking spaces? There were 98 parking spaces and only 2 cars there on Monday in December! We parked at the very back of the entire parking lot so we wouldn't take up any precious space - and were still asked to leave. -there is NO camping. - there are98 parking spaces and like ten tables for use. - summer time is hectic here! 3-5hr wait times - there kayak and canoeing launch is stairs! But the swimming only area is where the ramp is- but you cannot get close to the swimming area with your kayak without staff yelling at you from shore. -they feed the raccoons here a lot, so they come right up to you and your kids and will take stuff from you and your kids- and run off with it!!! Like cameras and whole bags small coolers, turn your back for 15sec and they are looking through your stuff right next to you! - since we. COULDN'T park here we paddled here from 4miles away, when we got here we decided to pay the fee to get into the park to leave from this location. Had to carry the kayaks all the way up this long hill and they just let us struggle with it and the raccoons, once we got to the top they had kayak carts! Didn't think to tell us this as they sat and watched! There are better springs- I'd go there instead 😉

I did the same as Joshua. Put my drink in a cup. I also entered by boat.
Yes there are but spots with tables and grills are usually taken if you don't get there early
5.50 per person 16 dollar canoe rental /2 hours 24 dollar canoe rental /4 hours 38 dollar canoe rental /all day *** 20$ deposit*** Open 8-8 year round Operated by american land and leisure
People live in those. They leave at the end of the night or next morning. Different ones are there almost every time we go. Theres a place in the town down the road were you can rent them.
Yes we just left. There is a line out to the road. If you come it's best to come first thing in the morning , or you will end up waiting for 4 hours because of the limit for parking. So if you dont mind waiting yes they are open today!!!
